Dr. Linda K. Jones
Dr. Coronado is a needed addition to the Antelope Valley Community College board of trustees. As a community college counselor, instructor and former community college student, Dr Coronado brings a unique experience and understanding in how board decisions and administrative actions impact non-English-speaking, first generation, older, working, and second-career college students.
Governing Board Member; Westside School District
As a working college student himself, he has firsthand knowledge of the challenges and barriers students have to overcome in navigating and matriculating in a community college setting. These are just some of the reasons I ask voters to join me in supporting Dr. Coronado for the AV College Board of Trustees in the upcoming November election.
Dr. Abdallah S. Farrukh
Board of Directors; Antelope Valley Hospital
As a man with 15 years of experience working in education, Dr. Coronado knows what Antelope Valley College must do to provide students with the necessary tools and strategies to reach their full potential and be successful. I strongly believe Dr. Coronado can deliver the results expected of him, no matter the complexity of the task. His mission is to provide effective and efficient service to students, instructors, staff, and the community at large. His primary goal is simple: to recruit, retain, graduate, and transfer students to four-year universities.
I have witnessed his enthusiasm and sincere concern for learning and educational development; he encourages students to deliberately invest in higher education as he reinforces the value of commitment and focus. His efforts provide results, as several of his students have successfully gained admittance to schools among UCLA, UC Berkeley, Layola Marrymount, and New York University under his mentorship.

Dr. Coronado’s experience in the community college system allows for him to effectively assist, encourage, and guide AVC and its community to become the force it can be to see more students finish their education to come back to add to the workforce. His history is one of vision, service, honesty, and integrity. I see the value he holds to the opinions of those he serves and I have faith that he will bring forth the needed refinement to see students earn their degrees.
Please join me in supporting Dr. Miguel Coronado for Antelope Valley College Board of Trustees!
